hi, i am nina. today i will be showing you how to make an ipod case with the rainbow loom. this case is suitable for the ipod 5 and the iphone 5. if you have a ipod 4 or the iphone 4 or 3, it doesn't really matter. you have to make instead of 15 rows here you make 13 rows. and here you actually use 11 pegs you will only use 9 pegs. you can also see that i've made a small charger hole and you will need a bigger one. i will show you how to do that later, when i get to that point. and i really like putting a charm on it as well.

you also have a hole for the camera. so let's get started! we first have to make sure our loom is in the right position. to do that we take out our middle row of pegs because we won't be using it. we will also be taking out our big blue piece in the middle but we will first be taking out our right row of pegs, and when that's done then we take out our big blue piece. we will not be using this piece. but we will be using the right row. but we will turn this row around. and then press it down.

now turn your loom upside-down and take out the small blue piece closest to you. and place that all the way to the end. and press it down. so that it looks like this. we begin by placing our loom vertically down. then start by grabbing a single blue rubber band and placing it from the bottom 2nd peg to the top 3rd peg. placing it in a figure eight or in a cross. and press that down. do the same but from the 2nd top peg to the 3rd bottom peg.

do the same with the following pegs. and one more time. do it one more time which is also the last time. so that you have four crosses in total. or four figure eights. then skip one row of pegs. and if you have an ipod 4 you will only do three crosses and skip three rows of pegs. and you will only do nine pegs instead of eleven. so skip on row of pegs and start again with the following pegs.

make four crosses in total again. one more time. like this. now grab a single rubber band and go from the 2nd bottom peg to the 2nd top peg. in a figure eight or a cross. do the same with the 3rd bottom peg to the 3rd top peg. and also with the 4th pegs do this till you reached these pegs. but don't do it with the pegs without rubber bands.

now press everything down. turn your loom the right way again. then grab a singe blue rubber band and place it from the 2nd left peg to the 2nd right peg. without making a figure eight. now go up one in the right row. do this till you reached this point. now go from this peg to that peg. now go al the way down and also do it over the pegs without any rubber bands on it. as you can see i reached the end.

and now i can start hooking. you are going to go in the 2nd peg on the left hand side and grab the bottom two rubber bands. and take these rubber bands over the peg and release. do the same with the next pegs. and this time there are three rubber bands. hook these over as well. grab the next three as well. three again. on this peg there are only two.

on this peg you can't hook the rubber bands over because there aren't any. so do it with the next pegs again. two here and three there. three here. and two here. it is really hard to grab this one because it sticks to the other rubber bands finally, now turn your loom around and start hooking in this row. bottom two and after that there are three rubber bands. and now grab the two again.

and skip this peg and continue. now turn your loom around. and now place white rubber bands. your going to go from the 2nd left peg to the 2nd right peg. and go all the way to the end. first do the right side. and to make this case you will need sixty-five rubber bands office colour if you use three colours. and in total you will need about two hundred rubber bands. and go back again.

like that, now hook up all the blue rubber bands. so grab the bottom two. if you did every thing right you should have two blue rubber bands on every single peg. you will also hook these rubber bands. now turn your loom around and start again. then turn your loom around. then do the same but with red. now we are going to hook all of the white rubber bands over. turn your loom around again.

do this three more times. i will be right back. i have done it three more times and i am going to do it one more time. so i am going to do it one more time. now i am going to hook up the bottom red rubber bands. now press everything down. like that. and go in te 4th peg on the left side. go in the 1st rubber band and then grab the other rubber band.

now hook that rubber band over the peg and on to the peg in front of it. do the same with the next one. one last time. now i have hooked six times. now i am going to go on the 5th peg and take of those rubber bands. do the same with the next rubber bands. also on the 7th peg. on the 8th as well. and on the 9th.

but don't take of the rubber bands on the 10th peg. so you have on five pegs no rubber bands. now grab your blue rubber bands and go from the 4th peg down to the 3rd. then go from the 3rd to the 2nd. now go from the 2nd to the 2nd on the right. and go down twice. now we are going to start hooking. so turn your loom around. and grab these rubber bands from the back and hook them over.

do the same with the next two. and these two to. then hook up these two. now hook up the rest of the row. now hook back again. and then the bottom one. now turn your loom around again. continue this fourteen more times. but if you have an ipod 4 or another smaller device you only do this eleven or twelve more times.

well, i am done. as you can see i have done my fifteen rows in total. and now i am ready to do this part. so i turn my loom around. so that the arrows on the left side are pointing towards me. and the arrows on the right side are pointing away from me. so you are going to count four pegs on the right side. and just start placing rubber bands all the way round. over all of the pegs.

wait, i have to change colours because i have just used red. i have to use blue instead. as you can see i only have one rubber band here but that is normal, so if you thought that's wrong its not. because there only comes one rubberband. so just go all the way round. now you can start hooking. you start hooking on the left side. just hook these to. but don't hook this single red one.

first we are going to grab this first blue one on the 4th peg and hook that up. hook up all of the blue rubber bands on those five pegs. until you reached the peg with the single red rubber band on it. don't hook any further. now go back and hook up that red rubber band. then hook up the rest. you can see on this case that we just made this white row which is this blue row on my loom. and then i have one row left before the camera hole so i am going to make that row now. which is going to be white.

but we have to turn our loom around. and just go over all of the pegs like that, now we can star hooking again. you will hook up all of the blue rubber bands, also the ones that we just hooked. on this peg there are three rubber bands. press everything down again. and now i am going to make the camera hole. to do that you count nine pegs up and go in the 9th peg, grab the bottom rubber band and hook that up. then go in the 10th peg and hook that rubber band up as well.

that's it. now take of the two rubber bands on the 10th peg. also take of the one rubber band on the 9th peg. then press everything down again. now i am going place red rubber bands again. you just do the same thing as we did before. so go from the 2nd left peg to te 2nd right peg. and go all the way up. now go down once.

as you can see these two pegs don't have any rubber bands on it and just keep it that way. so skip those two pegs, we will go over them in the next row. and now just start hooking. and on this peg there are three rubber bands to hook over. and press everything down. turn your loom around and start again. but then with blue rubber bands. now go over the empty pegs as well. as you can see the rubber bands are hooked here so we will hook them now.

so go in the 8th peg and hook the blue rubber band up. do the same with the 9th peg and with the 10th peg. like that, now you know that it's secure and you can start hooking. but there are no rubber bands on these pegs so don't get confused. and on these two pegs there is only one rubber band. do this one more time. turn your loom around and start hooking up all of the blue rubber bands. and do all of them also the ones we have just hooked up. that was this white row we just did so now we have to make the top part.

so just do the same as we did for the beginning. so turn your loom vertically. and just lay the crosses again. but don't skip any rows of pegs, so just do the entire loom. but don't do the entire loom just the pegs we have used. so you make ten crosses in total. so that means we will use twenty rubber bands. make sure the rubber bands aren't twisted and don't overlap each other. now go back to the beginning and start laying rubber bands over the two pegs across from each other.

like that, now turn your loom the right way again and hook up all of the white rubber bands. turn your loom around and continue on the other side. they aren't completely secured jet so to make sure they are we first have ti turn our loom around. and go in this peg and grab the bottom rubber band and hook that forwards. go in these rubber bands and grab the bottom rubber band and hook that over. continue this forward. all the way to the end. but make sure it is the bottom one otherwise your case may fall apart. now i have reached the end and i am going to grab the bottom rubber band and hook that to the peg next to it.

now turn your loom around and just continue. like that and now hook this last rubber band. now stick your hook in this last peg. grab a single rubber and pull that through. and place that rubber band over the other rubber on you hook. and pull on the first rubber band. now you can take your case of your loom. now that your case is of the loom it's not the form that you want it to be so pull on the edges. i have put a heart charm on this case and i would like putting one on this one two.

i have already made one in orange. here it is and if you want to make this heart charm to tie it on to i have a video for it. this is a good idea for the world cup because of the dutch colours. you tie it on like this... you have this loop, pull the loop on the heart through the loop attached to your case. but make sure the heart is still on the other side. pull that loop over the heart. and now pull on the heart. so that the heart is attached to your case.
